Practices:

According to Eric, “I intend to sign the NOFA-NY Farmer’s Pledge.  In terms of soil building, I will use compost, cover-cropping, and crop rotation.  Insects will be managed by a diversity of crops, native habitat including purposefully planted beneficials, and row cover.  Weed control will mostly take the form of hand tools and hand weeding, but I may also use straw mulch.  Diseases will be managed through crop rotation and a generally diversified cropping scheme.  I will not use any synthetic fertilizers, and will not spray my crops with insecticides, fungicides or herbicides.”
