The Good Grub Club is a program to encourage children at the Brighton Farmers’ Market to eat more of the delicious and nutritious fruits and vegetables available at the market.  Thanks to generous funding from the Greater Rochester Health Foundation, children visit the Good Grub Club tent and receive a booklet and a tote bag.  Each week a different fruit or vegetable is featured, and children receive a sample of the featured food, plus a page to add to their booklet about that food.  The page has a place for the child to draw a picture of the food, some facts about the food, information about how it grows, and some suggestions for delicious ways to eat the food.  Children are encouraged to try the food by teens helping implement the program.  Children who participate at least eight times will receive a prize at the end of the season.

Thanks to the Greater Rochester Health Foundation for making this program possible.
