  •  honey in the comb from both Bloomfield Honey Farm and Seaway Trail Honey, plus beautiful beeswax candles and ornaments, and honey-filled mini-bears, great for stocking stuffers or party favors
  •  colorful hot sauces from Small World Bakery
  •  truffles and chocolate bark from Hedonist Chocolates
  • fudge and berry jams from Tripleberry Farm, plus the Farm’s own pesticide-free blueberries frozen during the summer harvest
  • maple biscotti from Biscotti for Everybotti
  • alpaca yarn, fibers, and knitted and woven items from Spirit Wind Farm and Fiber Studio
  • baking mixes and Apple Cider Molasses from Allens Hill Farm

Raindance Harvest will have a variety of cold-tolerant, soil-grown salad greens, such as arugula, mizuna, Asian greens, mustard, spinach, chards and mache.  There will be lots of vegetables, including carrots, parsnips, rutabaga, celeriac, watermelon radishes, daikon radishes, and Adrondack blue potatoes from Small World.  Leeks, onions, winter squash, pumpkins, potatoes, chard, kale, hot peppers, and apples are still plentiful.  As always, farmers will have eggs, dairy from grass-fed cows, grass-fed meat, baked goods, and fresh pasta.  Live music wil be provided by Grant Cos.

The Long Season Winter Farmers’ Market is a collaboration between the South Wedge and Brighton Farmers’ Markets, jointly sponsored by the Town of Brighton and the South Wedge Planning Committee.  The market meets Sunday afternoons through December 19 from 1 to 4 pm at the Brookside Center, 220 Idlewood Road, Rochester.  See www.brightonfarmersmarket.org or www.swfarmersmarket.org, or visit either market’s Facebook page.
